— too bold, too big, to far: Unrealized artworks become visible. Artists from all over connect.
While mobility is restricted, borders and distances are clearly perceptible and existential uncertainties
are omnipresent, more artistic works than ever remain in the state of planning. Whether it fails due to
lack of time, space or money or accompanies your artistic work for years as bold dream — we are looking
for your projects, which have not (yet) made it beyond their state as an idea, concept, draft or prototype.
With this exhibition we want to open up a space and visibility in terms of concepts, sketches, drafts, plans
and photographs. These papers will be presented at the art space BLECH. in Halle, Germany.
At the same time, despite current challenges and immobility, this format allows to present
and bring international artists together. Since many things cannot take place on location and in person,
there will be an online programm additional to the exhibtion. For an exchange and encounters, the
participating artists and their work will be presented and discussed on a digital platform.

STATEMENT
Thanks to my drawing skills, I became interested in the branch of plastic and visual arts, always trying to become professional in the area of engraving. I began my research on lucid dreams, in which I generated 9 paintings through experimentation with different materials, mostly recycled, juxtaposing colors and materials in order to generate new forms of perception through media that opened the panorama in the plastic arts of Oaxaca; "beautiful appearance of an ephemeral reality" exposed in the Lobby of the Chamber of Deputies of the State of Oaxaca, at the moment I am directing the Center of Thematic Interpretation of San Pedro Ixtlahuaca, which is a community museum, in this enclosure I developed the scholarship PACMyC2016 with the project "a town without name, in search of the cultural identity" proposing to spread and to preserve the culture of my native town, through seven workshops of plastic and visual arts, in the same way I am directing the workshop and gallery Código Tonal, located in Avenida Juarez number 107, in the historic center of Oaxaca City, a collective project in which it is proposed through an alternative space, research, teaching and exhibition of local art, in the gallery I teach graphic workshops to Mexicans and foreigners, currently researching through experimentation new proposals in the graphic arts.
We asked ...
How does an idea become art?
From my professional experience I can say that ideas are always in our head, constantly spinning, it is very important to have a notebook always at hand, this is a vehicle that allows the accumulation of ideas that can later become art, With a logbook or notebook full of written or drawn ideas is easier to choose the best or most viable, I recommend analyzing all the possible written ideas and choose the most interesting or the one you like and develop it in the environment in which you consider yourself more suitable or the one you find more difficult, the result will be very pleasant and possibly a great work of art.
How do you record your ideas for new works and projects?
I always carry with me a notebook or a camera, to document or write the things around me that interest me, I also have a journal where I write my dreams, things that happen to me in the day or small stories without meaning, the point is to have a very basic order of the disorder that exists constantly in our minds to have a great dictionary of ideas, where the creation cea easier to develop.
