STATEMENT

Nature both inspires and provokes to ask questions. It also teaches humility. I have always been interested in the changeability of ourselves and the entire nature. My works are changeable as well; they often sustain permanent forms only for a limited period of time of an art show. Nevertheless, they can grow and develop at any moment. But the potential inhered in my works expresses continuous alterations of reality. My penetrating observation and understanding of everything that surrounds me, my sensitivity and my attitude toward the world and nature results in using re-cycled materials for my compositions. These common, ordinary materials applied to other than creative purposes have attracted my attention and curiosity. The selected substances, I submitted to transformation, I give them various meaning and quality.

We asked ...

How does an idea becomes art?

For me, the entire creative process is very important, from the idea through the path of exploration, experiment, various changes to discovering what is unknown for me. Sometimes the idea evolves so much that it surprises me. But is the result always an art? This is the artist's decision. We know that now more often curators decide what is art.

What does failure mean in your work?

"Failure" in art gave me strength, mobilized me, taught me to break free from pleasant appearances. You have to be able to listen to different opinions. Often the negative ones confirmed my right decision.

There is a saying - if it's still too good, it's not good either. Just like in life, sometimes it's great and sometimes it's bad (this is a literal translation, so I don't know if it makes sense)

How has the situation of the last months changed your artistic work?

The inability to create art is a very difficult situation for me. I have a need to create just like I need to breathe. I always found some space for myself despite various difficulties ... Not only in the last few months, but also in recent years, my health problems - (orthopedic after accidents) - have consequences until now. And thus they influence what I ‘m doing now. During the look down, I unable to work, but I couldn't move either. ..Now the kitchen has become my work laboratory, my nearest surroundings.

(I think I wrote too much).
